The raw material for the fragrance is obtained from lavender grown in Upper Provence at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. These conditions are essential for the quality of the oil. At higher altitudes, the plant grows more slowly, forming a more concentrated aromatic profile. Daily temperature variations and intense sunshine contribute to the accumulation of essential oils with a finer, «cleaner» structure and less heavy camphor notes. The result is a lavender that sounds elegant and transparent rather than harsh and medicinal.
The high volatility of natural lavender oil makes the fragrance particularly lively: it opens quickly but does not become intrusive, remaining close to the skin and creating a feeling of freshness rather than perfume density.
Martin de Candre preserves this natural character of the raw material — without attempting to «reassemble» or complicate it. The result is a fragrance for those who appreciate authentic, dry lavender in its most noble and natural expression
