A horsehair anointing is softer than boar, but stiffer than badger. The cost of horsehair brushes is their competitive advantage: it is noticeably lower than that of their badger hair counterparts.
The tips of horsehair are sharper than those of badger hair. Because of this feature, horsehair brushes are not suitable for people with sensitive and irritation-prone skin.
The Pharos-C3 Pure Black Horse (Black) has a tight, hand tied knot. Its diameter is 21 mm. While whipping the creamy lather on your face, this anointing prepares the shaving area very thoroughly, as the horsehair perfectly massages the skin and exfoliates keratinized particles.
A pomade made of natural materials needs careful handling. Before use, soak it in warm water for a few minutes to soften the lint. After shaving, rinse off any remaining lather and, after shaking off the water droplets, place the brush to dry in a special holder. Compared to boar bristles, horsehair takes a little longer to dry, but faster than badger hair.
