The name of the lotion emphasizes the distinctive features of hemlock: this outwardly unassuming plant is quite poisonous, and its smell is remotely reminiscent of the scent of hay. In perfumery, hemlock has a pleasant balsamic scent that is sweet and fruity. In Poison Hemlock lotion it is flavored with sweet notes of black currant, fig and light floral notes of violet and rose.
