Lavanille is a moisturizing shaving soap from the artisan American soap maker, Barrister and Mann. It contains no artificial dyes, silicones, or petroleum products. It features a perfumed note of vanilla and "saxon moss" - a fragrance famous in the last century. Barrister and Mann recreated it based on samples and historical records.
Soap is created on a fat base, with the addition of glycerin and 5 vegetable oils. It cares for the skin, nourishes, gives a well-groomed look. Forms a slippery foam, due to the included althea root.
Use the shaving bowl to whip up a lush lather. The manufacturer recommends using a fiber shaving brush for this purpose, as a natural brush may discolor due to the presence of vanillin.
The Barrister and Mann Lavanille fragrance is a modern interpretation of the Mousse de Saxe perfume base, created more than 100 years ago and already discontinued. Besides the famous base, the fragrance composition includes vanilla, lavender, cedar and musk. The manufacturer also uses the note of Saxon moss in Full Measure of Man shaving soap, but there its fragrance is sweeter, with licorice.
