Derby Black Premium blades come in an economical pack of 100, in individual packs of 5. Each is designed for classic safety razors and shavette razors. The blade can be easily broken in two along the long axis.
The advantage of the Derby Black range is the advanced protective coating. It is applied to the steel base in layers, making the blade particularly durable.
The composition of the protective layers is as follows:
- chromium — provides rust protection for alloy steel;
- Ceramic — responsible for the strength of the coating as a whole;
- platinum — guarantees exceptionally high edge sharpening precision;
- Tungsten — gives the blade wear resistance and prolongs its use.
Black Premium blades are harder, sharper and more resistant to mechanical damage than Derby Extra. We recommend these blades for a comfortable shave on tough stubble, while the Extra is more suitable for people with sensitive skin.
