The head is similar to the classic Merkur 23, which has been in production since the 1920s, but unlike the Merkur 23, the shaver is double-jointed, i.e. the bottom plate is connected to the handle and cannot be removed. The razor shaves stubble smoothly, it works as closely as possible to the Muehle R89 razor and is recommended for beginners.
Suitable for soft to medium stiff bristles. The same razor is available in gold and silver plated.
A suitable stand is the Merkur 4006 and the Merkur Razor Stand.
