Mitchell’s Traditional Wool Fat Soap is a legendary product from the UK. It was invented in the early 1930s by Bradford chemist Fred Mitchell: he realized that the hands of local sheep shearers and wool sorters were so exceptionally soft due to the natural lanolin content of wool fat. Mitchell hypothesized that lanolin might be just as beneficial to the delicate and sensitive skin of the face. This discovery turned ideas about skin care upside down.
Simple and natural, Mitchell’s Wool Fat Soap is still made with Mr. Mitchell’s original formula, based on a turn-of-the-century recipe and using wool fat lanolin as a key ingredient.
This very mild soap is particularly soothing to sensitive skin and is often recommended by British doctors for the relief of skin conditions.
