Mitchell’s Wool Fat Solid Shaving Soap has been produced since 1930 using the same recipe developed by the company back in 1893. The product is based on natural lanolin derived from sheep’s wool. We recommend this soap for men with dry skin, as well as sensitive skin that is often irritated after a traditional wet shave. There are no artificial colors, parabens or preservatives in the composition.
The triple milling process used in the production of Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap gives each bar high hardness and a characteristic glossy shine. The very dense structure makes it easy to produce a long-lasting, lush lather.
Perfume composition with a masculine character includes essential oils of patchouli, lavender, pine and clove. The base of nutmeg, cedar, vanilla, sandalwood and musk gives the fragrance persistence. The soft fragrance is well heard when opening the package, remains the same until the end of the bar, but after shaving is felt on the skin with a light trail for a few minutes, so the smell of soap does not mix with toilet water or cologne.
How to use Mitchell’s Wool Fat shaving soap
Before using in the bowl, moisten the bar well with warm water or do not shake the warm water off the lather when whipping the lather. This soap is also suitable for whipping lather on the face. Just wet it with very warm water, and soak the brush pile in the same water for a few minutes beforehand. Pour the soap onto the pile of the brush, whisk the foam directly on your face and start shaving immediately.
According to user reviews, this soap is best whipped with boar bristle pomades. The soap is economical to use and retains all its qualities after drying. After each use, the skin remains soft and well moisturized — as if an emollient aftershave cream had already been applied.
