Created by the Canadian company RazoRock. The source of inspiration for the manufacturer was a self-lubricating razor of the 40s of XX century — Grand Shave King, it was a razor of Self Lubricating Open Comb design — «Self Lubricating Open Comb». The name of this design is the acronym SLOC. The main design difference with this type of razor is that the grooves hold a small amount of water when immersed in water. During contact with the surface of the skin, the water gradually drips onto the face and moisturizes the foam — this allows you to put the razor under the water stream less often. The grooves perform the same function as the lubricating strips on cartridge shavers.
The shape of the head sets the RazoRock SLOC apart from other open comb razors. The comb is located on both the top cover and the base plate. The foam easily penetrates between the tines due to this head structure, which facilitates gliding and provides additional lubrication. It is possible to go over the same area several times with minimal risk of irritation.
The aggressiveness and shaving results are comparable to RazorockBaby Smooth.
The head is made of chrome plated zinc alloy. The 316L diamond knurled stainless steel handle is resistant to corrosion and chlorinated water.
RazoRock SLOC Dimensions:
- The diameter of the handle is 13 mm;
- The length of the handle is 90 mm;
- The head is ~22.5 g.
The handle is removable, you can choose any other from Razorock, such as the original Bamboo.
