The stainless steel razor is packed in a presentable box made of black eco-leather with embossing, resembling the shape of a book. Under the magnetic cover of the «book» are hidden:
- 3 plates — R1/R3, R2/R4 and R5/R6;
- handle;
- cover;
- pack of Rockwell double edge blades (5 pcs.).
Each of the three plates has two working surfaces, resulting in 6 aggressiveness settings ranging from the most gentle to the toughest. One razor is enough to shave a day’s worth of stubble or trim a stiff, curly beard.
This black razor was made using 316L steel, which is used in the American space industry. The matte, deep charcoal-colored surface has a very special tactile feel and is produced using PVD technology: metal vapors at high temperature in a vacuum environment are literally fused into the upper layers of the stainless steel base, becoming one with it. Lifetime warranty on each piece: you will use the razor for a lifetime and can even pass it on as an heirloom.
Rockwell’s standard markings on all safety razors allow you to adjust the gap between the blade and the guard with precision:
- R1 is 0.20 mm;
- R2 is 0.35 mm;
- R3 is 0.48 mm;
- R4 is 0.61 mm;
- R5 is 0.69 mm;
- R6 is 0.79 mm.
The R1 plate is recommended by the manufacturer for removing fine hair and day-old stubble. Plate R6 is enough to handle thick, long stubble, and although this setting is not recommended by Rockwell for men with sensitive skin, user reviews agree that on all 6 modes, the 6S razor demonstrates a close shave without irritation or cuts. The most popular of the settings is R3, which is universal and moderately aggressive.
How to use the Rockwell Black 6C razor
- Choose a stove marking to your liking, e.g. R3.
- Place the replacement blade on the cover.
- Connect the plate to the lid so that marking R3 is on the outside (marking R4 remains on the blade side).
- Tighten the handle.
