The Masamune razor is unique in its design. When shaving, the angle between the blade and the skin is 24°, so the stubble is shaved as close to the skin as possible. The risk of scratching is minimized because the blade has negative exposure — it is 0.13 mm behind the shaving plane. There is a thin edge on the edge of the bottom plate, which also protects against damage. The shaver can be upgraded with the interchangeable Masamune open plate with a negative exposure of -0.10 mm, which is more suitable for stiff and overgrown stubble.

With Masamune, the blade is firmly clamped between the plates, stable and does not vibrate when shaving, so it shaves stubble smoothly and does not cause irritation even for people with sensitive skin. When twisted, the handle «sinks» into the lid, which gives additional support and rigidity to the blade, so it remains stationary.
The structure of the razor is also special in that the head is positioned strictly perpendicular to the handle, which increases the accuracy of shaving.
The razor is manufactured on a CNC razor with minimal tolerances (0.02mm), hand machined and sandblasted to create a smooth finish.
Masamune is suitable for daily use on the face, for shaving body or head hair, as well as for beginners and users with delicate skin and non-rigid bristles. For stiffer bristles, we recommend the interchangeable Masamune open plate as well as the Masamune Nodachi plate.
To prolong the life of the razor, it is recommended to store the razor on a suitable stand.
