The brush is stiffer and cheaper than natural badger anoints, but massages and exfoliates the skin better. After about six months of use, the boar bristles split and the brush is even better. The comfortable handle of the Semogue 1305 is made of lacquered beech wood. Half of the handle is painted dark green and half is cream colored.
How to use the Semogue 1305 shaving anointing:
- Before shaving, immerse the pomade in warm water (not more than 45C) for a few minutes to soften the bristles.
- Do not press hard on the anointing pen while applying lather to your face.
- After use, rinse the brush thoroughly under running warm water to remove any shaving foam residue.
- Dry the brush by gently shaking it a few times, blotting it with a dry towel and placing it on its holder. Do not twist the brush, otherwise the bristles will quickly deteriorate.
Full drying may take more than a day. If you shave daily, we recommend having a spare shaving brush.
