The Duke handle is one of the most popular. It fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and doesn’t slip. It is made of ivory-colored resin, designed to resemble ivory.
The knot is densely packed with synthetic bristles by hand. The manufacturer uses its Platinum fibre for this-it’s slightly softer than Sovereign and Bristle synthetic fibres, retains water and heat exceptionally well, and has a sturdy base that ensures better lathering. It’s best used in a lathering bowl, but it can also be used on the face.
How to Use a Simpson Synthetic Brush
The manufacturer recommends that, when whipping up lather, you use back-and-forth motions-or motions similar to those of a paintbrush-with all of its synthetic-bristle brushes. After use, be sure to remove all lather from the bristles, rinse the brush, and let it dry.
