Men with very dry, sensitive, irritation-prone skin often experience unpleasant consequences after shaving, such as redness, burns and ingrown hairs. A pre-shave with moisturizing and healing properties helps to avoid all of this: it deeply softens the stubble, facilitates razor penetration and disinfects the skin.
Chamomile oil can be used as an alternative to the usual soap and shaving cream. This method is most suitable for very dry skin.
The combination of natural chamomile, grapefruit and castor oils combined with liquid paraffin also allows for a thorough pre-shave preparation. The thin oil film prevents the foam from drying out the skin.
How to use Taylor Chamomile oil
- Wash your face with hot water and your usual cleanser.
- Blot your skin with a towel without trying to wipe dry.
- Apply a few drops of oil on your fingers and massage gently over the entire shaving area.
- Proceed to shave immediately or apply your regular foam, cream or shaving soap on top.
- At the end of the treatment, wash your face.
Normal skin will not need additional moisturizers after shaving with this oil. After using the oil, the skin remains firm and perfectly moisturized for a long time.
As a standalone shaving product, Taylor Chamomille oil is best for shaving fine to medium stubble. For men with very stiff stubble, we recommend combining it with Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving creams such as St. James.
