For daily shaving, this format works well if you like making lather in the bowl, in a separate shaving bowl, or directly on the face. The rich lather helps spread the soap evenly and creates a layer between skin and blade, which helps make shaving more comfortable.
For a more traditional multi-pass shave, the soap lets you adjust water gradually and control the density and hydration of the lather. This is especially useful if you shave with a safety razor, shavette, straight razor, or multi-blade razor and want more control over lather preparation.
The fragrance belongs to the fougère family and combines spicy, aromatic, floral, and woody facets. Top notes are pink pepper, geranium, lavender, rosemary, and amber; the heart brings carnation, fern, and orange blossom; the base includes patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, powdery musk, and rockrose. The sandalwood character feels warm and smooth, but it sits within a more layered composition rather than a purely woody scent.
Soak the shaving brush in warm water for a few minutes, then shake out the excess while keeping it damp. Load the soap with circular movements and build lather in the bowl or on the face, adding a few drops of water at a time until the lather becomes rich, soft, and even. Apply it over the shaving area, shave in the direction of hair growth, then rinse the face and brush thoroughly.
