Contains glycerin, which makes the foam slippery and smooth and the skin moisturized and soft. Coconut acid improves foaming and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
The fragrance is exquisite. It includes woody-smoky notes of vetiver, thick, with a slight bitterness, grapefruit and hot pepper. Sensual musk gives the composition a special mood.
Truefitt & Hill was established at the behest of Prince Philip in 1805 as the first British barbershop specifically designed for members of the royal family and British aristocracy. The shaving cream is part of the Apsley collection of cosmetics, named after the residence of the family of the Dukes of Wellington. The late 18th century tanhouse was bought by Arthur Wellington, who became famous for his victory at Waterloo. The Duke’s descendants still live in apartments on one side of the tanhouse, with a museum on the other.
