It’s an updated version of the Henson 2022 shavers: a head with truncated corners for better walkability and ergonomics.
The razor is made of aerospace aluminum in the same factory that makes satellites. Instead of chrome plating and painting, the razor goes through an anodizing process, so the tolerances are thousandths of an inch and the geometry is very precise. The design is such that the blade is perfectly fixed and stationary. The blade reach is within the thickness of a human hair — no more than 0.0024 inches. It hardly bends at all during shaving, so it does not irritate the skin.
The aggressiveness is medium. The angle of contact of the blade with the skin during shaving is 30°, which allows you not to strain your hand. The razor movement is even and the shaving motion is smooth and precise. This reduces the impact on the skin, and the shaving process is comfortable and not very aggressive. This makes the transition to wet shaving easier for those who are used to using cassette razors, which is why Henson razors are often recommended for beginners. And the razor’s light weight makes it incredibly maneuverable, even in hard-to-reach places.
The design of the Spartan-style head is austere and stylish. Thanks to the unusual pattern in the form of horizontal stripes and mesh on the handle, as well as the fascinating color of the razor, it looks very spectacular.
Larger lather traps keep the razor clog-free, rinsing is less frequent and the razor moves evenly, gently and effectively removing stubble.
This razor has a Medium level of aggressiveness in the manufacturer’s classification. This means that it is suitable for daily shaving as well as Henson AL13 Mild models, but unlike them, it can easily cope with 3-day stubble.
