Plague Doctor translates as «plague doctor». Despite the slightly ominous name and recognizable mask on the label, the collection’s fragrance is light and pleasant, and the composition prevents and heals shaving wounds like a real healer.
The plague doctor’s mask was invented in 17th century Venice. Plague was believed to be transmitted through particularly poisonous «bad air», so doctors wore a beak mask infused with the scents of oils, flowers, herbs and spices — they believed this blend would protect them. RazoRock recreated the aroma of the ancient blend and made an Italian shaving soap and aftershave based on it.
The soft, pleasant scent won’t protect you from epidemics, but you’re sure to love it — it’s one of RazoRock’s best sellers.
