Semogue Portuguese anointing brushes are the finest boar brushes. Semogue 1438 is made of stiff, non prickly natural bristles (Extra 75% Tops grade). The secure knot is hand tied and, unlike a glued knot, will last longer. The classic round handle is made of beech wood and finished in cream and burgundy lacquer.
The Semogue 1438 shaving brush helps to deal with ingrown hairs. The bristles are stiffer at first, after a few months the tips split and become softer.
How to use the Semogue 1438 shaving anointing:
- After purchase, wash the pomade thoroughly with soap and water to get rid of the bristle odor.
- Soften the brush before use: immerse it in warm water (not more than 45C) for a few minutes.
- After shaving, thoroughly rinse the lather off the brush under running warm water.
- Dry the anointing: gently shake it, blot it with a towel and leave it to dry with the lint side down on a special stand.
