For learning and everyday control, grip matters. The tang is ribbed on both sides, so the razor stays easier to hold even with wet or lathered fingers. The round point suits most shaving situations and makes work around the ears, nose, and dimples feel more controlled.
For strong beard growth or thicker hair, the 6/8» blade width is a relevant choice. The wider blade moves confidently across flatter facial areas, and the higher blade weight supports a smoother operating feel. The Full Hollow grind adds flexibility and the characteristic feedback many users look for in a straight razor.
Strop the razor on a leather strop before shaving. Apply shaving lather or shaving oil to the face, keep the skin gently taut with your free hand, and hold the blade at about a 30° angle. Shave with the grain first, then finish against the grain if needed.
After shaving, rinse the blade with warm water, dab it dry with a cloth without touching the cutting edge, and store it open until it dries completely. Leave at least 48 hours between shaves. If you will not use the razor for a longer period, apply a little acid-free oil.
