The main difference from a classic dangerous razor is that you don’t have to worry about regular sharpening and straightening on your belt. The shavette razor uses standard double edge blades, just like safety razors.
The blade in the shavette razor is easily double-locked, and the rounded end of the shavette razor makes shaving safer and more comfortable. Unlike safety razors, the shavette razor has no protection against nicks and irritations, much depends on experience and proper technique.
How to use a Parker 31R shavette razor:
- Split the blade in half without taking it out of the envelope so you don’t cut yourself.
- Ins ert one half in to the shavette razor attachment and secure. The razor is ready to use.
- Steam the bristles well (under a warm shower or hot towel).
- Apply the pre-shave 3—5 minutes before shaving, especially if you have stiff stubble.
- Wash your face with hot water.
- Whip up a lather of soap or shaving cream. Apply the foam to your face.
- Hold the razor at a 30-degree angle to the skin. The greater the angle, the greater the chance of cutting yourself.
- Do not press down hard on the chevette, it should cut the stubble freely. Tighten the skin to make shaving easier.
