For dense beard growth and broader straight areas of the face, this format is especially practical. The 6/8 blade moves through thicker facial hair with confidence, while the heavier blade helps the razor track smoothly and steadily through each pass.
In daily use, both blade shape and grind matter. The full hollow grind adds flexibility, and the round point is a classic shape that works well in most shaving situations, including areas around the ears, nose, and dimples where a rounded tip is easier to control.
Strop the razor on leather before shaving. Set the blade at about a 30° angle and start with the grain before shaving against it. After use, rinse the blade with warm water, dab it dry without touching the edge, and leave the razor open until fully dry. If you will not use it for a longer period, apply a little acid-free oil.
