Superslant. The most refined razor from RazoRock

The idea to release a new slant razor was not accidental. According to user feedback, most slants slightly bend the edge of the blade when it is installed, making it wavy. Because of this, the razor «bites» the skin while shaving, leaving unpleasant damage on it.

The engineers at RazoRock created a structurally new head. One that does not bend the edge of the blade and makes shaving more comfortable while still being efficient.

The manufacturer’s second goal was to create slants with adjustable aggressiveness. That is how the RazoRock Superslant razors with interchangeable base plates appeared. One handle, one top cap — and 9 safety bar plate options for different shaving aggressiveness, plus 3 open comb plates.

How does it work?

The Superslant series includes 3 base aggressiveness variations — L1, L2, L3. The numbering goes in increasing order of aggressiveness, from low to high.

Each level has 3 additional variations. You can recognize them by the extra symbols — «+" or «++». These are intermediate steps. In 2023, versions with an open comb and two pluses also appeared, meaning the most aggressive option at each level.

It is easy to understand. So, L1 is the mildest level in the series, L1+ is slightly more aggressive, and L1++ is even more so, but still less aggressive than L2. The most aggressive razor in the whole collection is the L3++OC (open comb). The manufacturer made it as close as possible to its legendary Wunderbar model.

How do you choose a «super slant»?

The choice of razor or an extra plate for it depends on the thickness and length of the stubble, as well as how often it is shaved off.

For beginner wet shavers, as well as for daily shaving, it is better to choose the L1 razor. It will also suit people with sensitive skin and medium-coarse stubble. If you need a slightly higher aggressiveness, you can use the L1+, L1++, or L2 plates.

When replacing the L1 plate with L2, the razor’s aggressiveness increases from low to medium. It can be used for medium-coarse stubble and for shaving a couple of times a week.

When the L3 plate is installed, the aggressiveness of the slant razor increases to roughly the level of one of the brand’s most «aggressive» razors, the Razorock Wunderbar. L3 is suitable for people with coarse stubble that has grown for a week or more.

Interchangeable plates: more variations for less money

The Superslant model is made entirely of stainless steel. All variations — L1, L2 and L3 — come with different handles.

The developers designed the super slant as a razor whose aggressiveness you can adjust yourself — depending on how much your stubble has grown, how close you want the shave to be, and how much comfort you want at the moment you pick up the razor. And if today you want it milder or more aggressive, you simply replace the plate with another one and get a completely different shaving character.

Adjusting razor aggressiveness by changing plates is a mechanism that will not break. You do not overpay for levels you will never need, as with ordinary adjustable razors, and you choose only the ones that suit you.
