Razor with durable and resistant PVD coating (ionized plasma spraying on the body material). The coating does not react chemically and does not change its color.
The Tatara Masamune head is different in design from all others. The blade is set at a negative exposure distance of 0.13 mm from the imaginary straight line that the tip follows when it comes into contact with the face. Therefore, irritation does not occur even for those with sensitive skin. If the bristles are stiff, then you can put a plate with a comb, the outreach in this case will be closer to the shaving plane by 3 mm, if compared to the head with a closed comb. The clearance will increase by 0.10 mm and the razor will shave thick, coarse, long stubble more effectively.
Another important feature of the head: the blade is set evenly and does not rattle during operation. This also prevents irritation, because blade vibration is one of the causes of scratches and burns when shaving.
An unusual fitting system has been developed especially for the Masamune series shavers. The handle is positioned perpendicular to the head and the load is evenly distributed on the internal threads, thus reducing wear.
Parts are made on a CNC razor, machined by hand and then sandblasted for a smooth finish.
The razor is in a dark metal shade, the exact same model is available in brushed chrome.
All Masamune parts are interchangeable with Nodachi parts. Tatara produces a special cork stand for the razor, shaving brush, blades and replacement panels to make it easier for vets to organize their bathroom storage system.
